The classic 1961 sci-fi novel, adapted into two classic films over the years, was the inspiration for this celestial example of contemporary dining room lighting.  The core of Solaris is comprised of a cluster of LED bi-pins, arranged into a loose column around which spiky acrylic blades jut out to form a galactic globe with faceted glass at each end.  The image is reminiscent of a planet comprised of carefully arranged stars, from which a glowing inner core emanates. Solaris can be custom-sized to individual room requirements, and will provide the same sense of awestruck contemplation as its namesake.

Spiky acrylic blades with faceted glass on each tip surrounds a cluster of LEDs.
